I did Quantum-Touch on 8 men and 2 women who were suffering from “ Frozen Shoulder." Also called adhesive capsulitis, frozen shoulder is a condition that causes restriction of motion in the shoulder joint. The cause of a frozen shoulder is not well understood, but it often occurs for no known reason. Frozen shoulder causes the capsule surrounding the shoulder joint to contract and form scar tissue. There are 3 stages of frozen shoulder:
- Painful/Freezing stage: the most painful stage of a frozen shoulder. Motion is restricted, but the shoulder is not as stiff as the frozen stage. This painful stage typically lasts 6-12 weeks.
- Frozen stage: During the frozen stage, the pain usually eases up, but the stiffness worsens. The frozen stage can last 4-6 months.
- Thawing stage: The thawing stage is gradual, and motion steadily improves over a lengthy period of time. The thawing stage can last more than a year.
Clients ages ranged from 55-74 years of age. The amount of time that they had painful shoulders ranged from 4-8 months in length at the time they saw me for the first session. I measured each client for movement away from the body to the side or abduction and also to the front of the body and back of the body, like the motion used in walking.
I broke up my research into 2 groups: 1st group of 5 people got Basic Quantum-Touch only. The 2nd group of 5 got Core Transformation 1 only. I did Quantum-Touch on each person for 60 minutes per session for a total of 4 sessions. I placed 1 women in each group.
